Speaking
If you'd like me to speak at your event let me know, availability and travel requirements permitting I can deliver standard content or create new material for a fee – if you're a non-profit or serving under-represented groups lmk and we'll work something out.
Earlier in my career I was very reticent about doing talks, I much preferred facilitating workshops. Participatory experiences are still very much my default way to communicate and connect, but after years of developer advocacy I learned to enjoy giving talks lol.
Here's one I did a few years back at DevRelCon:
🎬 An Open Framework for Developer Learning – September 2023
Some of the podcasts I've been on:
- 🎙️ Change, Technically – November 2024
- 🎙️ API Evangelist – October 2024
- 🎙️ Code Newbie – March 2021

Recently I've been speaking about creating the conditions for learning within AI-assisted coding contexts, here are some blog posts about talks I've done:
- 📖 Monkigras – Do your fingers remember how to code – March 2026
- 📖 Haggis Ruby – Developer skills worth learning when AI can write code – April 2026
- 📖 When is a tool the right tool for the job – research software engineering workshop – March 2026
Some of the virtual events I did at Postman are still on YT:

- 🎬 Webinars, streams etc – 2019-2021
